Charles Brand Etching Press
Our classic Charles Brand etching press features a 36 x 60 steel bedplate. Ideal for intaglio printing processes that require very high pressure.
Conrad C-25 Press and Plate Shear
Our motorized Conrad convertible press with 27 x 48 bedplate is easily adjusted to handle intaglio, wood block, monoprint, or lithography printing. Our Tennsmith metal shear cuts plates up to 48 inches wide.
Press Room Extras
A large space featuring multiple work surfaces, 18 x 24 industrial hotplate, large sink, and 36 x 42 Nuarc light table for backlit image viewing.
Analog Darkroom
This climate-controlled workspace features a nine-foot wash-out sink, overhead plumbing, Hass water mixing valve, Nuarc 26-1KS exposure unit, electronic hygrometer, chemical refrigerator, and ample work surfaces for tissue and plate processing.
Digital Darkroom
The digital darkroom features Mac and Windows workstations, a 24 in. 4k pen tablet for image editing, a 48 in. Epson printer converted to selenium ink set (6 channels) for photogravure film printing. Creative Software: Photoshop, Lightroom, Topaz (AI, Gigapixel, DeNoise, ), Midjourney, QuadToneRIP.
Framing Studio
The framing studio features equipment for cutting mats, glass and acrylic, shrink-wrapping, and cutting and joining frame moldings. We also maintain a selection of antique wooden frames that we use for photogravure presentation.
