Our Cumming GA studio build-out is still in progress, but we will soon be capable of printing and doing most forms of plate making. While our personal focus is on intaglio printmaking, we will also have equipment and tools for lithography and alternative photo printing. Below images are from our former studio in Punta Gorda, FL.
36 x 60 steel bedplate. Suitable for printing processes that require very high pressure. Eventually it will be motorized.
27 x 48 bedplate. This motorized press is easily adjusted to work for intaglio, monoprint, or lithographic printing.
Here we have a space close to either press for soaking and blotting papers that will be used for printing.
The inking area is equipped with 18 x 24 hotplate and glass surfaces for mixing and applying inks to a plate.
The darkroom has a nine-foot wash-out sink, Hass Intellifaucet water mixing valve, Nuarc 1 KS exposure unit, chemical refrigerator and ample work surfaces for tissue and plate processing. This is a climate-controlled work space.
Our Epson 9800 is capable of printing images up to 48 inches in width. It has been converted to a Black and White printer with six channels of Selenium Inks, for premium black and white image printing on film or paper.
Our TennSmith stomp shear can cut down plates up to 48 inches wide.
